Position Available: Full time Circulation / Accounts Receivable Clerk Application Deadline: May 16, 2008
Requirements: Type 35 wpm or better; Basic computer skills plus good aptitude; Basic Internet skills, email, web research; Excellent English, spelling, punctuation and grammar skills; Works well with others; Self motivated to work regular hours, and must work well with team.
Compensation: Hourly wage. Negotiable, depends on experience; 60-day trial period
Duties: Need full time or 30+ hours a week part-time person to work in office of regional magazine publisher doing a variety of tasks. Big part of main job duties includes keeping a database of subscribers and periodically sending out renewal notices for subscriptions, keeping records of transactions involving subscriptions. Software is Alpha5. Training will be provided to qualified person. Another big portion of primary duties includes using Quickbooks to send bills and record payment transactions for receivable accounts for the publisher, mainly advertising placed in two print publications and online publication. The employee will also proofread editorial and advertising copy, so he or she must be a decent speller and good with grammar, punctuation, etc. This employee will also help in answering our phones, taking outgoing packages to the post office, organizing the publisher's archives, and keeping track of various details involved in the publishing enterprise.
